Recently, there have been lots of posts from users who’ve discovered strange items and are trying to figure out what they are. This is where the subreddit r/whatisthisthing comes in. As the name suggests, users post pictures and ask each other, “What is this thing?” Given the diversity of people on this social media platform, users are often able to immediately identify what those things are. We’ve created a list of weird things that found their purpose via social media.

An Indian arrowhead
If you are a history of science fiction buff, you dream about being involved in your own war against some mystical ancient force. How would you feel if you discovered an authentic historical arrowhead?

We can’t even imagine just how excited this person must have been when they found out that they had stumbled upon the Hopewell Indian culture arrow, dating about 2000 years ago. For those who do not know, the Hopewell tradition is a native American culture found predominantly in the north-eastern and mid-western eastern Woodlands, during the middle woodland era.
A 30 lb wrench
One look at this item and you can tell quickly what it is. What makes it confusing, however, is its unusual size. Did someone just buy this for a joke, or does it actually serve some sort of purpose?

Also, it is definitely weird that the original poster inherited this. It weighs over 30 pounds and it turns out that it actually did have a function. Apparently, it was used at the Federal reserve, and this wrench was actually a major tourist attraction. How cool is that?
Public art for sleeping
We’ve got to appreciate the eye for detail that the original poster must have. Most people would not take a second look at public art, let alone notice how each metal ring here has two hooks on each side, which is not something you usually see.

This is what confused the original poster and made them wonder how it might not be public art. Turns out those are hammock stands used for swinging, sleeping, or resting. We hope that people who visit that park bring their hammocks with them next time.
Ignorance is a bliss
Is there anything more disgusting than seeing tiny specks hanging by threads in your bedroom, only to find out later that it’s a bug? We can only imagine how this person must have felt when they posted on Reddit, seeking some sort of explanation for these mysterious little specs.

Turns out it was female lacewings. More specifically, it was female lacewings laying their eggs on a piece of dried out mucus, which is attached to a leaf. Well, that’s certainly a little disgusting. We think the user must have been happier not finding out!
Detecting items in chips
We have got a perfect random object that is going to blow your mind. How would you feel if you found this a blue disc in a packet of your favorite sour cream crisps?

This original poster must have been surprised to find that they are testing chips, something that was used once upon a time. According to social media, this is a testing chip that goes through metal detectors to ensure they’re working. What is really funny is that the chip failed its purpose, because a foreign object did get through identified and undetected.
A piece of history
This miniature mask found from New Zealand is equally creepy and beautiful. Given its extremely wide mouth design, it’s obvious that it was designed for a very specific purpose. Turns out this is a yawning dance mask used by a certain tribe, the Balinese.

It is designed to be a miniature version of the actual masks used during their traditional dance performances. Apparently, these masks are considered sacred since they represent divine messengers. performances.” Traditional Balinese masks are considered sacred, and represent divine messengers.
Shaving has really changed
As technology evolves, there are plenty of everyday items that might become history in just a few years from now. That’s why it’s especially interesting to find items showing how people in olden days performed everyday tasks.

Take this fine china cupboard that this original poster found as he was going through his family‘s stuff. Turns out it is a shaving scuttle that is used to keep soap leather warm so that it can be used multiple times. Instead of being weird, this is just vintage cool.
A Peruvian ceremonial chonta
On top of being an extraordinarily beautiful country Peru is also known for its rich and glorious ancient culture and heritage. The original poster found a wooden object as they were standing on a beach in Lima, Peru.

Turns out this healer thingy is a ceremonial chonta. It was used in traditional healing ceremonies. The carving in the wooden staff is even made from the wood of the Chonta Palm. It can be seen sitting at the head of a ceremonial altar.
Not so creepy after all
It’s really interesting to see devices from ages ago, and it really makes you think how people lived before the technological advances of the modern era. This person described what looked like an unidentified metal object around the local park in the UK.

According to social media, they are vents for underground gases. If the poster was hoping to discover something much more exciting and mysterious, unfortunately they must have been disappointed. Life just isn’t like the movies.
Your favorite kitchen tool
What would you do if you found a flat silver ball? Especially if it literally looks just like a flat silver ball and seemed to have no form or function? Most people are going to end up pulling their hair, but thankfully we have social media to call upon.

Turns out this was a stainless-steel soap that you can rub on your hands after chopping onions or garlic. Apparently, it helps to get the smell off. That’s pretty interesting but it would have helped to make that a bit more obvious!
No, it is not a coffin
Is there anything creepier than discovering a coffin (or anything that vaguely resembles a coffin) on your property? The original poster described it as a concrete slab that they found on their friend’s farm. Instead of just opening it up using a crowbar, they decided to post the picture online first.

Turns out it is actually a septic tank. The original poster would even find a pipe on both ends if they kept on digging. This is an old-style tank; they were typically buried between 1 to 3 feet below ground level.
What is this squishy thing?
We’ve talked about lots of creepy things already, yet this one is especially icky, because it came in a closed package. The origin of imposter described it as a “squishy” thing. According to someone on social media, it’s more than likely nothing to worry about.

They speculated that it was some solids from the milk inside the drink, which then mixed with the other ingredients to create that blob. Or perhaps there was an issue during production that led to that rubbery hunk of residue in the drink. Either way, don’t eat it.
From the second world war
Now, lots of households have pins, medals and other items that have been passed down over generations. They wanted to know the origins of these bear pins and the RRW markings on it. They would discover that, as it seems, one month after Germany made its move on Russia back in 1941, an organization was set up in New York to give relief to Russia.

This group was called the Russian War Relief, or the American Committee for Russian War Relief. Apparently these bears are pins from the second world war era.
A brand-new hobby?
This one isn’t exactly a mystery, but if you were born after the 2000’s, it might confuse you. On first impression, it looks just like a bunch of marbles. Of course, lots of people actually used them, so we can see why this would confuse them.

Turns out that this is actually a marvelous solitaire game, also known as a peg solitaire. Apparently, instead of using cards, people used this version of the game. Must be a fun way to pass the time.
For the artist inside you
This item is really confusing. The original poster described it as a sort of dresser, but with no sides and an open space near the front of the drawer. They would soon discover that it actually is an artist’s cabinet or flat file.

Fortunately, the clever folks on the internet quickly solved the mystery. They pointed out that you’d want to be careful to avoid damaging the artwork, by carefully pushing it up from the edges of the drawers. This is why we love the Internet.
What are ranger beads?
What is especially amazing about this particular community is that you have the unique opportunity to see items from all over the world, be it a tiny village in Russia or New York City. This original poster found these weird looking ropes in the woods in the Netherlands.

The only description that they could give was that it has nine beads on the bottom and four on top. Turns out they are called ranger beads, and people use them to count distance through a known pace. We have come a long way as a society.
Hanging pennies from porches
If you’re from the U.S. South chances are you’ve come across this before, but to the rest of us, it’s just plain odd. This poster checked into their cabin and found a bag of pennies and water hanging from the door.

Well, commenters were quick to point out that these bags can be seen all over restaurants, porches, and doorways in the South. They actually keep flies away because they don’t like water or the light given off from the pennies. It’s a natural DIY fly repellent!
The Romans loved their oil
While technology has evolved quite a bit since the days of the ancient Romans and Greeks, it’s still delightful to see some of the household items that they used in their daily lives. Take, for instance, this clay jar that this original poster found while taking in the garden in the south of the Netherlands.

According to social media, it is a Roman oil jar made out of terracotta. The Romans always made tons and tons of pottery and terracotta pieces, which can be found across archaeological excavations, revealing the traces of the Roman Empire.
Call pest control ASAP
This is just one of those images that are just bound to send chills up your spine. It’s obviously something organic, and despite the original poster’s attempts to clear it of the way, it came back. The original poster would discover that this weird white thing is actually called “frass.”

What exactly is frass? The dictionary defines it as the fine powdery refuse, or the fragile perforated board produced by the activity of boring insects. For the layman, it’s a sign that you need to call someone from pest control immediately.
Hold on to this one
How would you feel if you flipped the switch on the back of an old clock, which was labeled “miracle eye”? We can completely understand how this would have confused the original poster, especially because it sounds like something from a movie.

As they would quickly discover, it is actually a light sensor that can be turned on and off. When it is on, the clock won’t make any sounds — unless it detects any light. This is to ensure that it does not wake people up during the night. How cool is that?
Not from space
What would you do if you came across this weird thing in your backyard? Is it an electronic item? Given the design, is it something religious? Or is it some weird contraption that is used for some very specific purpose in the kitchen?

Actually, it is quite unimpressive, considering that it is called a special wheel or chair. Its purpose is to hold rebar in place prior to pouring the concrete. We are sure the original poster was disappointed by this uneventful discovery.
This one for your pens
It takes just one glance at this item before anyone can tell that this is incredibly old, probably hundreds and hundreds of years old. Maybe this is something that should belong on television.

Actually, this is a double inkwell, which was fairly commonly used in the 19th century. The second well can be used to wash your pen after writing, so that the ink doesn’t try to clog up the tip. If you are not too bothered about your trip getting clogged up, you can also use it for two colors of ink.
Spike man to the rescue
No matter what people say, spiders are incredibly scary. How would you feel if it was late at night and you bumped into this spidery-looking and extremely sharp, red-colored object? From some angles, it even looks like it has spikes! Turns out it’s something called an electrostatic animal guard.

Whenever an animal touches one of the prongs, it gets a little zap. It’s similar to an electric fence that prevents your animals from straying off into the wilderness, but it is smaller to better ensure security. We hope the original poster has not touched it.
This one is really confusing
This flat disc with a few holes in it looks pretty benign. What could it have been used for? From some angles, it even just looks like a highly stylish ashtray. Actually, it has a very specific purpose… even if it merely looks purely decorative.

It is a flower frog that is used for arranging flowers. The number of holes is designed so that the stems can be fit through for arranging. It also comes in a range of designs and styles. Who could have guessed?
A special gift from Pennsylvania
Because every place has its own unique environment and circumstances, locals often come up with innovative ways to solve everyday problems. Unfortunately, those very same items might seem mysterious if you are new to that particular area.

This user discovered this yellow thing, and all they could tell was that it was made of aluminum and it was on lots of telephones in south-east Pennsylvania. Actually, they are yellow mesh objects called grid reflectors, and they are used to help motorists see and avoid utility poles. Glad we got that figured out.
This needs to be in a movie
This is yet another item that you could see on the set of your favorite science-fiction television or movie. It looks like something that could have very nefarious purposes, like a hidden bunker for dictators. Or it could just be something completely benign.

The only information the original poster was able to give was that it was a two-lane road being repaired, and they saw this section dug out. Turns out it is actually used for stormwater retention so that the sewers aren’t overwhelmed. Who could have guessed?
A radioactive home?
You probably don’t want something radioactive in your house, right? Well, how do you think this person must have felt when they came across this buried warning sign in a crawlspace? This situation escalated so far that even the local media had to be involved.

Inspectors from radiation control decided to examine the site to check out this person’s crawlspace. Luckily, they did not find anything dangerous. It turns out that the warning label was actually from the 1950s and there was nothing significant in the red boxes. What a relief.
Use this with your purse
One look at this object and you can quickly guess that it was made for a very specific purpose. Something on there definitely just looks like random bits of plastic, but it’s still pretty confusing as to what it is. What exactly is this strange object?

According to the wise folks on social media, this round metal object is the thought of a bus or small handbag. Apparently the sunken center part will typically have been stitched to the top of a purse, and it would be used to open and close it.
This was used by the disabled
On first impression this looks like yet another, if slightly broken, teapot. If you take a look carefully, you can see it doesn’t have any lid or markings.

It is also made from white ceramic, and there is some crazing to the glaze, implying that it obviously is not from recent years. As the original poster would discover very quickly, it was actually an older version of the modern sippy cup. It was made for people who were too weak or too sick to be able to feed themselves.
Right out of a horror movie
If you are like most people, one look at this and you are just going to be absolutely terrified. Not the original poster, though, who kept this around for 20 years and finally decided to find information online. Apparently, these are the teeth of the American freshwater drum fish.

For those who do not know, these types of fish typically have teeth (which are not unlike human molars) that they use to break down oysters and mussels for consumption. Of course, they are also known as the google google, the grinder, and the grunter fish.
What is a hag moth, you ask?
There’s weird things and there are weirdly scary things. In fact this has even been described as “a weird squirming living Lovecraftian nightmare found on someone’s lawn chair.” We can’t even imagine encountering this, especially with its big, gaping mouth.

A helpful person on the Internet informed the original poster that it is actually a hag moth. Turns out hag moth larva are also called monkey slugs, thanks in part to their fuzzy little legs. The good news, though? These unsightly bugs aren’t actually a danger to either crops or people.
Debris from rockets gone by
The original poster describes this object as a bit of polyester in a honeycomb shape. It was fiberglassed and attached to a flimsy aluminum disk. For the record, it was found in the U.S. Treasury of Guam. It did not take long for the Internet to research and figure this one out and even then, the answer is pretty fascinating.

It’s actually due to a recent rocket launch, which had apparently failed. A Chinese Long March rocket had taken off, but its payload was spotted reentering the atmosphere somewhere outside of Guam.
Gotta thank the grandparents
If you’re close to your grandparents, you know how particular they can be about which items they would like in the house and which items they would not like in the house. Especially if one of those said items looks like a carved and sacred ancient circle from similar reservations thousands of years ago.

How can this not capture anyone’s curiosity? According to the Internet, this ancient object is actually a mottled jade Aztec sunstone. It’s actually a sculpture that was dedicated to the sun with hieroglyphs of days, months, and suns.
You might want to to skip this one
If you are afraid of bugs, then you might want to keep on scrolling. We are not sure who would eat one of these, but desperate times call for desperate measures… we guess?

According to people on the Internet, it is actually a type of polypore fungus that is exuding excessive moisture. This process is called “guttation.” Upon further research, it turns out that they are a variety of fungi that have spores or tubes beneath them. Regardless of what it is, this is just giving us the chills to look at it.
Dodgy Inheritance?
We gotta admit, when we first saw this object right here, our minds went to a dodgy place and inheriting such an object from your own mother is quite shocking!

However, this is actually an innocent necklace, with a twist. While this daughter thought this could be a secret utensil, after consulting with the good people of the internet she learned that it’s actually a small carry-on perfume! Yes, apparently the small arrow that’s connected to the lid was for dabbing the perfume.
Roll back the 60s
Before we had streaming, people used cassettes and CDs. Of course, we have come a long way, but how would you feel if you found this on a magnetic device with heaps of cables around it? You have to go back all the way to the 1960s for the answer to this question, because this item is actually called an audio head demagnetizer.

When recording with cassettes, this tool was used whenever there was built up magnetism in the tape path. There is absolutely no way that the original poster could have guessed this.
An old sediment filter
Basements are pretty terrifying regardless, but what would you do if you found a dark mysterious electronic object — especially one that is hooked up to the water line? Despite its scary and serious appearance, this one is actually a pretty innocuous object. It is a sediment filter, which saves particles from getting into your water.

This one does have some piece of history to it, however, as it has a very old filter cartridge inside. We’d love to have some history in our basement.
Yet another UFO?
Despite the technological advances over the last few decades, there is one thing that just won’t die away: our unwavering interest in identifying those so-called unidentifiable flying objects. To be fair, if anyone saw this thing in the sky, they totally would want to take pictures of it. For the record, this happened in Pennsylvania.

According to social media, the mysterious circle was actually called a soliton, which is a self-reinforcing wave. The circles themselves are caused by the smoke coming off the transformer, creating these strange, round plumes in the air.
This one is for the kids
How would you feel giving your child this extremely strange looking form-like device, which is semicircular and has a design of a cow? While it does look like the form that people would put when painting their toenails, it obviously has a different shape. Of course, social media once again came to the rescue and announced that it is a door stopper.

Its purpose is to help safeguard little fingers, preventing them from getting trapped in the door. Next time someone asks, “Won’t someone think of the children?” you can show them this device.
Your new favorite game?
If you took a look at this strange carved circular stone with these weird markings on them, you are bound to think it is some sacred object from an ancient culture. As the original poster would discover quickly, it is missing a part, the tiny red piece that’s supposed to fit into the middle.

In fact, it is one of two game pieces that came up with the horseshoes in an indoor version of the classic game of horseshoes. Even neater, someone on the social media website even had one growing up. It’s unfortunate that it ended up in the woods.
We need this someone ASAP
We are sure there’s lots of everyday items that will be obsolete in the next 20 or 30 years. This strange item received by a college freshman is the perfect illustration of this.

They had received this item from the University and, upon not being able to figure out what it was, decided to ask the Internet. Turns out this is actually a germ key. It is used by people to open door handles without touching them so as to prevent the spread of infections. We would love one of these.
A very ornamental missile
A lot of the mysterious items that a person can find are absolutely banal and have no serious backstory to them. Then there’s this object. This user’s brother found this thing in the woods in Tennessee.

As it turns out, it is actually a missile that is mounted on a plinth outside the nearby military high school. We are happy that the original poster discovered this, as this can be especially scary based on its appearance. It might be better suited at a museum, if we are being honest.
A fire grenade in a research lab
Finding strange things in the woods or in your backyard is one thing, but it’s something completely different when you discover it in a research lab. It looks like this glass item has something inside it. The original poster, themselves a scientist, is totally stumped.

They would discover that it actually is a fire grenade from the early 1900s. According to social media, the reason some were just filled with good old H20 and others were filled with random chemicals is to help put out any fires by smothering them.
Not so creepy after all
On first impression, this thing looks like something from the set of a rural horror movie. The only clue that the original poster could give was that there was a paintball field and a hotel nearby in Europe. People on the internet have not exactly been able to figure this one out, but our best guess is that it actually is a three-dimensional maze.

It is used in children’s camp and other types of outdoor activities. According to some other people, it is an example of an ancient practice of building sculptures using plants.
The coolest jar opener ever
How would you feel if you discovered this weird shop item, complete with jagged teeth? Apparently, it is from the 70s, and the original poster found it on the underside of their cabinet. While it looks quite benign, it actually has a very clear purpose.

It is also not what you might have suspected, though. It is simply a jar opener, that’s all. You know, we actually might get one of these ourselves. We wonder if the original poster actually ended up using it.
Is it a bird or a UFO?
There are weird things that might make you think of something out of a science fiction movie, or maybe a government conspiracy. The original poster saw this wind turbine clipped onto cable lines near their house, just cheerfully spinning away.

We are sure they must have felt a sense of relief when they found out that the object is used for identifying flying objects. Apparently, it is a bad flight diverter, which delivers a more affordable method of reducing the danger to both lines and innocent birds.
Be careful with this one
You should always be careful around mysterious objects, but you might want to take extra precaution when you’re around a mysterious axe that is razor sharp. The original poster had believed the item was an axe and that it was from Japan.

They would soon discover that it wasn’t an axe, but rather a delimbing tool that is used when one reaches higher limbs in a tree. Users can cut them off swiftly because of the sharpness of this tool. This is certainly not something you want lying around the house, especially if you have kids.
A place to wash your feet
When you step into a public restroom, there are really only a few things that you expect to see. A few stalls, a few sinks, maybe a baby changing station, maybe a few urinals. That’s really about it. So we can only imagine how shocked someone was when they walked into a bathroom and saw this contraption.

It turns out that it is actually a foot washing station. We really don’t have any idea why someone would want to wash their feet in a public restroom, but hey, anything to cut down on the stink we guess.
Found on the highway
We’ve all seen all kinds of weird things on the highway before. Cars with custom paint jobs, trucks hauling pieces of houses, and maybe even the Wienermobile, if you’re lucky. But this definitely stood out from the rest. This huge metal container was being lugged on the highway and followed by more than ten highway patrol cruisers. It definitely seemed important.

The people on the Internet said that it was some type of heat exchanger, and the intense escort squad was simply due to the unwieldy size of the object. So it’s not a bomb or something like that.
What’s with this metal?
This is something that probably many of us have seen before but simply never questioned. It’s not an uncommon sight to see retaining walls with these metal bits on them, but what is the purpose? Apparently these are installed to keep people from skateboarding. Walls like this are the perfect height for skaters to grind their boards on, and that quickly leads to the walls being scuffed up and potentially ruined.

So sorry skater boys and girls. Another example of the system trying to keep us down! Ah well, there’s always the skate park, eh?
The spoils of war
It’s not uncommon for soldiers to return from war with all kinds of artifacts. As time goes on, the meaning of these items is lost. That’s how you’re left with all of these mystery war antiques. This medal was brought back by someone’s father who served in the Iraq War, yet it wasn’t a medal issued to him by the U.S. military.

According to the Internet, this was actually an Iraqi medal known as the Mother of All Battles Medal. It was given to Iraqi soldiers that fought in Desert Storm after Saddam declared that they won.
A glass tool for flowers
Snoop around in old cabinets in your house for long enough and you’re bound to find something interesting and mysterious. This person found this glass tool, and they had absolutely no idea what it was used for. The Internet pretty quickly determined that it was actually used for flowers and that it was called a flower frog.

It’s used to help arrange flowers when they are put into bouquets and other arrangements. Even the original poster’s mother who loves flowers didn’t know what it was used for, and that’s probably because flower frogs aren’t used anymore.
An amazing sight from an airplane
One of the most fun things to do while traveling is looking out the window of the airplane. It sounds simple, but watching the clouds roll underneath you as brilliant landscapes go by is an experience that just never really gets old. You even might come across some sights like this! Needless to say, we would immediately assume that aliens were near if we ever saw this.

But apparently the real cause is a bit less interesting. These clouds looked like these because of some intense lights coming from greenhouses located below. Not aliens, but still pretty cool!
A tiny dried up corn on the cob?
Trusting your intuition is a hard thing to do, but it is right more often that you give it credit for. That feeling in your gut usually knows what’s up, folks. Take this story as an example.

This person was eating some peanuts when they discovered this odd looking thing. It was obviously not a peanut, and it looked like a tiny, dried up cob of corn. But they knew it couldn’t be that. So they asked the web, and they got hit with a simple response: “it is a tiny dried up corn on the cob.”
Metal and plastic
Sometimes the detective work of the Internet is truly amazing. Someone found this odd object made out of metal and plastic, and they were totally stumped as to what it could be. We would honestly be just as lost if we hadn’t already had the answer given to us by the Internet.

Apparently it’s a simple, decorative keychain made by a company called Georg Jensen. And how did the Internet find this out? We honestly have no idea. The idea of trying to identify this truly sounds like a really hard task. Good on them.
A sweet potato with holes
You know the feeling of cutting open some produce and seeing that it doesn’t look how you expected it to? Yeah, that’s a bad one. Whether it’s too ripe or not ripe enough, you then have to deal with the fact that you now have to eat (or throw away) a piece of produce that isn’t what you wanted. How sad.

That’s what happened to this person who discovered that their sweet potatoes were filled with holes! But this isn’t from a bug infestation. Apparently this just happens when sweet potatoes are stored in hot temperatures. Huh. Weird.
Is that a belt?
While investigating and digging through old boxes in their shop, one Reddit poster stumbled upon this thing. It looks like a belt, except it’s quite short and has metal pieces on both sides.

The length of it is made with leather, and it looks quite aged. Most of us would have no clue what it is, and that’s because it’s an old strap used for carrying car batteries. The ends go over the terminals in the car and the battery can be lifted out. We doubt that this thing would still be used, but it’s a cool antique nonetheless.
A mysterious science object
Here we have a “science object” found in an abandoned asylum. Wait, what?! Apparently this person went digging through an old mental hospital and was just picking random objects up when they found this. Sounds like an interesting way to spend a day. The term “science object” was sorta correct but not at all helpful for the original poster identifying this thing.

It turned out to be a light bulb used in a projector. So mystery solved. Still, we’re more interested in what other kinds of things this person found in that old asylum! Creepy!
What on earth is that?
Okay, now this is the type of object that Internet detectives love to see. It looks absolutely mysterious. It seems homemade as well, meaning it should be pretty hard to identify. And you know that these people love a challenge! This hand-me-down from the poster’s father in law was identified as an erhu. Do you have no idea what an erhu is? Don’t worry, we didn’t either.

Apparently they are old Chinese instruments that are somewhat similar to fiddles. This one was missing some pieces, but it was indeed that! How did anyone figure this one out?!
HAL is in the building
Imagine buying a house, walking into it, and seeing what appears to be HAL installed in the wall. If 2001: A Space Odyssey taught us anything, it’s that glowing lights built into the wall shouldn’t be trusted! Still, this person wanted to know what this thing was before buying a new, safer house, so they asked the web. It turned out to be not so threatening.

This light is just an indicator light that indicates that something in the house has changed. And apparently it’s impossible to know what it’s indicating without tracing the wire. Sounds useless to us!
The mystery of the green pods
We’ve seen plenty of pods in our day. Seed pods, Tide Pods, dish detergent pods, all kinds of pods. But these look just a little bit different. And that’s because they are! Apparently these are not filled with detergent at all. Apparently these are toys called Pop Pops. They are filled with slime that contains a hidden collectible. So no, these pods shouldn’t be eaten either.

No matter how tempting they might seem. We’re sure that popping them open is still pretty satisfying though, especially for little kids. Pop away, friends. But no eating.
A helmet from the future
This was a helmet spotted on a motorcycle driver, and it looks super futuristic. The helmet itself doesn’t look all that crazy, but the weird pipe system coming out of the back of it makes it look more suited for Star Wars than an American highway.

It turns out to not actually be all that crazy, though. These pipes were installed onto the helmet after it was purchased, and the point of them is to allow for better ventilation for the helmet. This is mainly so that it doesn’t fog up. Safety first!
