The American Music Awards returned to Los Angeles last weekend, and the red carpet for this awards show didn’t look quite as colorful as we’re used to. This time around, the red carpet was dominated by long black dresses, and here are five stars who opted for this look.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD
Underwood took the stage at the AMAs alongside country star Jason Aldean and wore a stunning long-sleeved black dress with a ruffled skirt and statement belt for the occasion.
JOJO SIWA
Siwa looked radiant on the AMA red carpet in a long, off-the-shoulder tulle gown and sheer, ruffled skirt.
MADELYN CLINE
Speaking of black cutout dresses, the Outer Banks actress has embraced the trend as well. She accessorized her Mônot dress with long leather gloves.
CHLÖE BAILEY
Bailey couldn’t resist stepping onto the carpet in a long black dress, either, but her Montsouris velvet outfit was bright enough with bold cutouts and a thigh-high slit.
CARDI B
Cardi B turned things around during this year’s AMAs but decided to dye her black for her first look. She hit the red carpet in a Schiaparelli gown with a sheer veil and made her look even more dramatic with a gold mask, nails and earrings.
