If you were to ask me what are my two favorite things, I would probably say dogs and memes. If I had to pick just one, I would pick dog memes.

As you scroll through the pictures, you will see that dogs are just as excited to see us as we are to see them. “Dogs form incredibly close bonds with their owners; they see them as their best friends, family, and caregivers.”

There are so many activities to do during the summer, whether you’re hiking, swimming, or just snuggling under a tree. However, the heat can also be dangerous to dogs, cats, and other pets. To keep your pets safe under the sun, it’s important to know what precautions to take.

Best Friends Animal Society warns of the potential dangers of heatstroke; dogs and cats may suffer irreparable organ damage or die if their body temperature climbs above 102.5 degrees (or 108 and 106, respectively). Be on the lookout for signs of distress such as panting, weakness, and darkening of the tongue. Move them to a cooler area right away and apply cool (not cold) water to their ears, belly, and paw pads. Never submerge them in cold water or cover them with a damp, icy blanket.

Overheating can occur in a variety of situations, such as leaving a dog in a hot car, taking your dog for a walk in the middle of the day, or simply leaving it in the yard without shade.

You can show your dog’s happiness in a variety of ways when you look after it and spend time with it outdoors. Sunny said, “A happy dog shows confidence and resilience. Like humans, dogs have a hierarchy of needs such as food, water, and exercise. After those needs are met, they can form social and emotional connections with other dogs and humans. “They express their happiness through their body language, playfulness, and affection.”
