To make time less boring, some people decided to take up new hobbies, like guitar playing and cooking. One of the reasons for this was because COVID-19 lockdowns made them have to stay home.
Other people have taken advantage of their time on social media to start projects, like television presenter Alexander Zane and his daughter Matilda. Their project was very successful on social media.
Zane and Matilda are behind Tot for Tot, an Instagram page that features remakes of iconic scenes from movies. Zane handles the logistics and behind-the-scenes work while five-year-old Matilda is the star of the show. Throughout their quest, they have gained tens of thousands of followers who love their charming recreations.
Zane shared a photo on social media that he had taken of his daughter playing with a toy car. He then realized that it looked strikingly like the scene from the 1985 movie Teen Wolf and decided to create a 3-minute 56-second spot using the original song from the movie, “Looking For a Kiss” by The J. Geils Band.
They have converted more than 100 scenes from classics like The Shining, Die Hard, Shawshank Redemption, and The Matrix. Their goal is to make it more a collaborative project as it is a bonding experience for them both. See their recreations in the gallery below.
