Safely Endangered Comics are created by the British-based cartoonist, Chris McCoy. He had originally only shared them on Tumblr in late 2012, but discovered a new home for them on Webtoon in 2014. Ever since then he’s been posting them all across social media platforms.
Chris McCoy has always been a big fan of doodling and drawing inspiration from classic British sitcoms like The Simpsons and Futurama. He never pursued art academically, but studied engineering instead. After university he started drawing comics as a hobby and the feedback he received inspired him to continue his work.
The author has shared over 600 free comics on his Instagram account, collecting over 1.6 million followers in the process. He prefers to identify them as “silly” and points out their unpredictable humor and cute illustrations to be reasons for readers to take a look.
